What is your fashion style? Do you need fashion style tips from another's perspective? Are you dressing for men, other women, or are you dressing for yourself. Let's take a look at some examples. If you are trying to be in fashion or are trying to develop your own style, these are important points to consider.

SLUTTY VS. CLASSY:
How to Dress for Men
How to Dress for Women
How to Dress for Yourself

  • Most would agree that classy is stylish.
  • Most would also agree that slutty is, well, a matter of opinion.
  • Most don't have to agree on what your own style is, you get to decide.

There's sexy, and then there's secksy...OOPS

The other night, I was at a private party when I noticed a very attractive woman in a small group of people. She appeared to be with a man that she might be dating. She was dressed fashionably, wearing black high-heeled boots with faux-fur trim at the top and a red knitted dress that had a couple of strategically and intentionally torn rips at the neckline. She looked like she had put more effort into her look than most of the people at the party.

                Why is She Wearing That?

The dress was very short, maybe 4" below her booty. My friends said to me, "Do you see how short that dress is?" We all agreed that she would probably look much better if it were a little longer. I thought probably the length should have been at least mid-thigh.

What are your personal style and fashion choices saying about you?

It looked to me like she was dressing for men (and that she might be charging for that attention), not for women and probably not for herself. She definitely looked sexy but a little slutty. Is that so bad?

She definitely looked sexy but a little slutty. Is that so bad?  We here at AdviceonFashion.com aren't here to make judgments. We want to help you understand that what you wear can communicate (sometimes to the point of yelling!) loudly about who you are, where you are in life, and even what you want. Sometimes what you thought you were trying to say with your clothes is simply misunderstood.
